Goodyear remains a supplier to the U.S. military despite the recent scandal with President Trump, which has called on consumers to boycott the brand.
A US Department of Defense spokesman confirmed that the company continues to supply tires for the military.
"The Department of Defense has not received a directive to stop using Goodyear tires," Defense Department spokesman Chuck Prichard said on August 26. "No cessation of procurement was discussed."
Goodyear supplies tens of thousands of tires to the U.S. military every year, according to the Department of Defense, and is one of more than ten tire companies working with the state.
“Goodyear supplies about 90,000 tires per year to the US Department of Defense's aviation and ground vehicles for an average annual contract value of $48 million,” said Chuck Pritchard.
