Nexen Tire confirms tire supply for US startup Canoo

Korean Nexen Tire Corporation has confirmed that it will supply tires for a new electric vehicle produced by US startup Canoo.
California-based startup Canoo plans to launch its first model of a futuristic electric car in 2022. It will be available only by subscription. According to the startup's terms, subscribers pay a monthly fee, which includes car usage fees, maintenance and insurance, and keep the car for ten months or ten years.
In 2022, Canoo plans to produce 10 thousand cars under its own brand, and by 2024 - to increase the number of electric cars produced to 50 thousand.
The new product, which will hit the market in two years, will use the Nexen Rodian GTX EV tires, a special version of the Nexen Roadian GTX SUV all-season model. According to the Korean company, the tires are fully suitable for electric vehicles in terms of safety, durability, efficiency and ride comfort.
