Toplivosberegaûŝaâ version of tires ** Continental HSR2 EcoPlus ** ** for regional and main transport already certified SmartWay thanks to reduced rolling resistance.
American Continental Office (CTA) provided new, more economical version of its very popular tire for medium operating conditions. ** HSR2 ** EcoPlus were the last replenishment of the family premium tires for steering axle, as well as a new solution from Continental to reduce fuel consumption during trunk and regional transport.
The company conducted tests showed that with a typical load of new tires reduce rolling resistance by 15% compared with conventional Continental HSR2. This means that fuel consumption is reduced by approximately 3%. According to engineers, new tires even more environmentally friendly than tyres for long-haul traffic.
** HSR2 ** EcoPlus also have several features: protective rib against abrasion, patented geometry of grooves, which reduces the risk of cracking and tearing, as well as a system of indicators of VAI + showing residual depth of tread.
Tires have been certified under the program of the environmental protection agency SmartWay Wednesday United States (EPA) as truck tires with low rolling resistance. Based on data provided by the manufacturer, as well as received during the research and testing conducted by the EPA, it was determined that the tires are designed to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, as well as reduce fuel consumption by 3% compared with the "popular" tyres for trunk traffic (if the tires are installed on all five axes of Class 8 truck).
