Infront Moto Racing announces that Italy's Pirelli will continue to serve as the official tire supplier for the Motocross World Championship until the end of the 2023 MXGP season.
Over the next three seasons, Pirelli will continue to be present on all MXGP circuits around the world and will offer competitors not only quality and reliable tires, but also related services. Advertising of the Pirelli brand will be displayed on the tracks of the World Championship.
The Italian tire manufacturer has competed in the Motocross World Championship for decades, winning a total of 72 world titles alongside racing legends such as Antonio Cairoli, Jeffrey Herlings, Tim Gajser and others.
The two main tire options for the MXGP are the Pirelli Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft and Scorpion MX Soft models. A total of about 40 riders use Pirelli tires across all Motocross World Championship classes, including top teams - Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Team HRC, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing MXGP, Gebben Van Venrooy Yamaha Racing, SM Action MC Migliori J1 Racing , Rockstar Energy Husqvarna MX2, F&H Kawasaki Racing and Diga Procross GasGas Factory Juniors. On average, one Grand Prix requires about 450 tires.
