Hankook participates in VW grand rally

Hankook is taking part in the ID.3 Germany Tour and is supplying the new Hankook Winter i*cept evo3 winter tires in size 215/55 R18 99V XL. The aim of the project is to test Germany's growing electric vehicle service network.

The ID.3 Germany Tour includes over 600 VW dealers and EV charging stations. The pilot of the project in Germany is the famous traveler and record holder Rainer Zietlow, who is accompanied by the navigator Dominic Brüner. The journey of about 20 thousand kilometers includes a visit to the headquarters of the European division of Hankook in Neu-Isenburg and the European center of research and development of the company in Hannover.

“Our new winter tire, Winter i*cept evo 3, has the chance to showcase its outstanding performance during the VW ID.3 race at the start of the winter season across Germany,” said Hankook Tire Europe President Sang Hoon Lee. "We are a longtime OE tire supplier to Volkswagen worldwide and we are therefore delighted to be able to support this challenging project."

The rally, which will last 65 days, starts at the end of September in Oberstdorf, Bavaria, and ends on the island of Sylt.
