GRI will build a new rubber compound plant

Tire manufacturer Global Rubber Industries (GRI) will build a new rubber compounding plant in Sri Lanka. At full capacity, the enterprise will be able to produce 200 tons of finished products per day.

“We are setting up a new rubber compounding facility to meet the current demand for our products and to facilitate further expansion,” said Ananda Caldera, CEO of GRI.

The new facility, according to GRI CEO Mahesha Ranasoma, will be built taking into account the expected growth in demand for special pneumatic and solid tires produced by the company.

The facility will be equipped with best-in-class equipment, including feed systems and high-performance mixers, to ensure consistent production of high-quality compounds for GRI specialty tires.
