Yokohama returns to India Rally Championship

Japanese tire manufacturer Yokohama returns to motorsport in India as the company will field its team for the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC). In addition, Yokohama will be the official tire partner and tire supplier for the new season of the championship, which starts in December 2020.

Yokohama returns to INRC after a three-year hiatus. Prior to that, the Japanese tire manufacturer had been the official partner of the country's rally championship for several years and even won it in 2016. However, at the end of 2016, Yokohama decided to leave INRC.

INRC's new 2020 season has been postponed several times due to the pandemic, but recently promoters finally unveiled a shortened championship schedule. It will begin in December 2020 in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and will end at the end of January 2021 in Bangalore.
