Kumho Tire will supply tires for Scoda Kamiq

South Korean tire manufacturer Kumho Tire has announced that it will begin shipping OE Kumho Ecsta PS71 tires for the Skoda Kamiq compact crossover from January next year.

In addition, Kumho is already supplying ECSTA PS71 tires to Skoda's Czech plant, where Octavia sedans are assembled.

Kumho Tire, which is considered the second largest tire manufacturer in South Korea, also supplies its products to many foreign automakers, including Audi, Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Overall, about 60% of Kumho Tire's revenue comes from overseas markets.

The company owns eight factories - three in South Korea, one in Vietnam, one in the United States and three in China; their total production capacity reaches 55 million tires.
