Davanti tires selected for new LEVC VN5 electric van

Davanti tires are homologated for a British electric vehicle built by the London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC).

The Davanti DX440 commercial light truck tire has been approved as an OE on the new VN5 electric van, which is now in series production.

In 2020, the global electric van market has exploded and the demand for such vehicles is growing rapidly as fleets strive to reduce emissions.

All VN5 vans, the first of which will roll off the assembly line at the end of this year, will be equipped with Davanti DX440 215/60 R17 tires.

“VN5 electric vans are the global future of transport logistics. We have already seen the success of their TX5 electric taxi cabs and can safely assume that the new LEVC van will play an important role in the future of the global transportation infrastructure. It was a fantastic achievement for the young Davanti brand to participate in this project, ”said Peter Cross, General Manager of Davanti Tires.

LEVC has selected Davanti tires after extensive testing to ensure that the tires are fully compliant with the specific requirements of electric vehicles and provide excellent handling, durability and ride comfort. Tests carried out by LEVC at Horiba MIRA, the UK's leading proving ground, involved several tire brands.
