Pirelli and Trek-Segafredo Cycling Team Expand Cooperation

Pirelli and the UCI WorldTour Road Cycling Championship Team Trek-Segafredo will expand their partnership in 2022.

The expansion of the partnership was announced ahead of the Formula 1 US Grand Prix, which took place in Texas on October 24, 2021.

Trek-Segafredo's technical collaboration with Pirelli, signed in 2020, has already been successful: in just two seasons, the team won the Milan-San Remo, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Paris races on the flagship Pirelli P ZERO tire line. -Ruba, where the choice of tires played a key role.

The team will again race with Pirelli tires in 2022, and technical development will remain a key aspect of the collaboration. For example, Pirelli's first tubeless cycling tire, the P ZERO RACE TLR, is a direct result of a technical collaboration with the Trek-Segafredo team.

“For Pirelli, collaboration with the athletes of the Trek-Segafredo team is crucial as it allows us to further improve the technological level of our bicycle tires,” commented Matteo Barbieri, head of Pirelli Cycling, on the expansion of the partnership.
