Indonesia keeps natural rubber exports at last year's level

According to analysts, the export of natural rubber from Indonesia in 2021 will remain at the same level as in 2020 - 2.45 million tons.

This was announced by Erwin Tunas, executive director of the Indonesian rubber industry association (Gapkindo).

Indonesia, the world's second-largest exporter of natural rubber, sees continued declines from its peak of 3.26 million tonnes in 2017. This is happening against the backdrop of a decrease in the production of raw materials.

According to the Gapkindo Association, in the period from January to September, Indonesia shipped 1.82 million tons of natural rubber, which is 0.97% more than in the same period last year (1.8 million tons).

The main buyers of Indonesian rubber are China, the USA and Japan.
