This week in Turin Pirelli said the anniversary together with the National Museum of Turin car and held an open day at its factory, which produced the most advanced motorsport brand tires.

The company made its debut in the Susa-Moncenisio race in 1905, and got her first victory a year later - in the race Settimana Automobilistica in San Remo. The high point of the Italian company came when in 1907 took place the famous car race Rally Paris - Beijing. The race started in June, and on 10 August in Beijing the first Italian team arrived Prince Scipione Borghese (Scipione Borghese), Pirelli tires were installed on whose vehicle. Throughout the route it took only twice to replace the wheel, and, as suggested by the company, that this race has attracted the public's attention to the performance and safety of tires, which soon became famous under the Pirelli logo.

The logo of the company in the form of an elongated 'P' letter was created a year later, the race for New York - Paris, and it can often be seen at the National Museum of Turin car, where he spent part of the celebration of the anniversary of Pirelli motorsport. Visitors were also able to get acquainted with all the extensive history of the company's involvement in motorsports, and even look into the near future - Pirelli showed new wide tires for Formula 1, which is waiting for the imminent debut at the Australian Grand Prix.
