The Vredestein brand presents the new Quatrac AS all-season tire for compact cars.
The novelty Quatrac will initially appear on the market in the fall of this year in 39 standard sizes R15 and R16, and an expansion of supplies is already planned for the beginning of 2021.
The all-season tire segment is one of the fastest growing in the European market and it is not hard to see why - only a few countries in Europe have really severe winters, and in general, drivers prefer to save time and money and use one type of tire all year round. According to Vredestein, the European all-season tire market grew 23% in 2019.
The Vredestein Quatrac range already has an all-season model, the Quatrac Pro, designed for high-performance vehicles. The new product, which is the successor to the Quatrac 5 tire, is intended for small diameter wheels. According to Vredestein, the new Quatrac offers balanced performance and improved fuel efficiency thanks to its lightweight design and low rolling resistance. Both shoulder areas of the tire improve its performance on summer roads, and the center tread area with frequent grooves is focused on winter conditions.
The V-pattern and optimized block arrangement improve the tire's handling characteristics.
The manufacturer claims that the handling of the novelty on dry asphalt is improved compared to the Vredestein Quatrac 5 by 12% thanks to the contact patch and rigid blocks. The silica compound and V-pattern improves the tire's handling on wet roads by 20% and shortens the braking distance by 10%. The large number of cutting edges in the tread pattern improves handling on snow.
The Vredestein Quatrac tire has been specially developed for European roads. It is marked 3PMSF and is suitable for winter use throughout Europe.
