Nokian expands E-Truck tire size range

Nokian E-Truck truck tires harmoniously combine economy, comfort and excellent all-weather performance. The range has recently been expanded with tires for midsize trucks. The new size 19.5 successfully complements the range, allowing medium-duty trucks in the 12-16 tonne weight category to operate without problems at any time of the year.

Transporting goods on urban and suburban roads requires tires with special characteristics. In cities, they must provide precise control over sharp turns and narrow entrances to houses, and outside the city, they must cope with slush and snow on winter roads. This requires resistance to constant friction on the asphalt, otherwise the tires will wear out very quickly.

“In the larger sizes of the Nokian E-Truck range, we have already implemented a special tread pattern that significantly extends the service life,” says Teppo Siltanen, Product Manager for Nokian Tires. “And in the new tire size 19.5, we refined it and combined the resulting design with our special wear-resistant rubber compound.”

From city streets to outskirts

The new Nokian E-Truck Steer 19.5 and Nokian E-Truck Drive 19.5 tires are ideal for local traffic and city traffic. What's more, they make the Nokian E-Truck range truly versatile - now covering a wide range of vehicles from large trucks to small vans.

“With size 17.5 released earlier this year, we can now offer a comprehensive selection of tires with equally good performance for customer fleets of all types,” explains Teppo Siltanen.

Ready for any weather

In addition to a long service life, all Nokian E-Truck tires demonstrate good adaptability to various weather conditions.

“We have long made it a rule to achieve high performance in winter conditions without compromising durability and driving accuracy,” says Teppo Siltanen. “All tires in the Nokian E-Truck series carry the 3PMSF mark, which means no weather will slow them down on the road.”

The Nokian E-Truck Steer 19.5 is a stable and reliable steering axle tire for midsize vans that offers good handling through a durable tread pattern. It has a uniform wear profile and special wide zigzag grooves that significantly reduce stone jamming. All this allows the tires to serve for a long time and trouble-free.

The Nokian E-Truck Drive 19.5 tire is designed for all-season use in difficult urban and intercity traffic conditions. The tread pattern with an open center section and semi-open shoulders, as well as densely spaced tread blocks made from a special rubber compound, ensure reliable grip and control under all circumstances. The optimized staggered tread pattern guarantees stability, safety and driving comfort.

Commercial trucks are constantly being improved. Markets and legislation demand low emission, quiet and manoeuvrable vehicles.
