The Super Taikyu Organization (STO) has announced that Hankook Tire will become the new supplier of Super Taikyu Series tires from the 2021 season.
Hankook's contract with the series covers the period up to and including 2023, but the Korean tire manufacturer has the option to extend it for two more seasons, until 2025.
“We are looking forward to participating in the Super Taikyu Series, one of the most famous endurance races in Asia. We are thrilled to see some of the most promising riders compete with our tires, ”said Hosung Suh, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for strategy and marketing, Hankook.
Hankook currently races the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) and the Creventic 24H Series and will be the official tire supplier for the FIA Formula E World Championship starting in the 2022-23 season.
