Kenda launches new Klever M/T2 mud tire

The Taiwanese company Kenda Rubber has unveiled its new generation mud tire, the Kenda Klever M/T2, at the North American SEMA Show.

The Klever M/T2 - Kenda's most aggressive tire to date - will hit the North American market in late spring or early summer 2022.

The new M/T2 has a number of improvements over its predecessor, the M/T mud tire, in terms of performance on mud, rocks and loose surfaces. In addition, the new tire offers improved wet and dry handling as well as more precise and safer cornering.

The tires will be available in the most popular light truck and SUV sizes, including 33-, 35-, 37-, 40- and 42-inch versions.

The M/T2 tread pattern design reduces noise and improves mud handling. The tire sidewalls are protected from damage, and the optimized compound improves the tire's durability and handling on various surfaces.

The novelty should eventually replace the previous mud tire Klever M/T, which, as the company notes, although it continues to be popular, is already outdated.

Kenda will manufacture tires at its Vietnam plant, where the company moved all of its tire production for North America this year due to increased import duties on products from Taiwan.
