Continental has introduced a new line of commercial grade tires to the Indian market, tailored to local road conditions.
The new Hybrid CHA2 enters the country's market in the amount of 10.00R20. According to the manufacturer, the new tire is highly wear-resistant and resistant to cuts and damage; it is also suitable for subsequent retreading.
“The new Hybrid CHA tires are designed to handle the most challenging road conditions,” said Claude d'Gama Rose, head of tire business at Continental India. "The tires are highly durable, and their tread pattern prevents stones from getting stuck, enhances wet grip and other important characteristics."
Continental notes that in India, great emphasis is placed on maximizing vehicle utilization and preventing downtime, which is why tire durability is key.
In India, Continental manufactures tires at its Modiperam plant in Uttar Pradesh. The company bought this plant from Modi Tires in 2011 and has since then invested heavily in the expansion and modernization of production facilities. The tires produced at the plant go to the Indian market and are also exported to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
The company manufactures passenger car, truck and bus tires in India.
