Continental StraddleMaster+ tire will be issued under a different name

Continental AG announces the renaming of the harbor bus from StraddleMaster+ to TerminalMaster V.ply. According to the manufacturer, this reflects the expansion of the product's applications.
Until now, StraddleMaster+ tires have been used primarily for gantry loaders in port terminals. Continental now recommends tires for airport use and for heavy duty industrial vehicles.
The tire is created using V.ply technology, which allows you to combine different types of cords by weaving them at specific angles. The V.ply tire carcass consists of a large number of layers (up to 20) of diagonal fibers embedded in three cores of wire. Since the steel cord does not provide an optimal connection between the carcass and the outer rubber layer, V.ply tires use a high-strength polymer.
