China continues to increase tire exports

An expert on new tires from China in August 2020 increased by 8.2% compared to the same period last year, to 46.3 million units.
According to the General Administration of Customs of China, the value of exports rose by 3.5% to $ 1.3 billion. For comparison, in July this figure fell by 6.6%. The weight of exports in August also increased compared to last year - by 14.1%, to 610 thousand tons. In 2020, for the first time, all indicators increased on an annualized basis, and for the first time this year, the weight of exports showed significant growth.
In the first eight months of 2020, tire exports from China declined 14.3% year-on-year to 290 million tires. The value of exports for seven months decreased by 18.8% to $ 8.2 billion, and the weight of exports fell by 11.9% to 3.7 million tons.
