New tire plant to appear in Egypt

A new national consortium will start the tire production.
The Egyptian state-owned Chemical Industries Holding Company (CIHC), engaged in the chemical industry, has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Organization for War Production (NOMP) and the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI).
Under the terms of the new agreement, a national industrial consortium will be created that will manufacture tires for various types of cars, as well as tractors and heavy equipment.
To implement the plans, a new tire plant will be built, which will be located in the city of Ain Sokhna in the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal. The area of the complex should be 450,000 sq. m.
In May 2020, a new tire plant, Pyramids Tires, opened in Egypt, which produces tires for motorcycles, forklifts and agricultural machinery.
