Goodyear tires homologated for Volkswagen ID.3 electric car

Volkswagen adds Goodyear to the list of approved tire suppliers for its ID.3 electric vehicle.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance summer tires in sizes 215/55 R18, 215/50 R19 and 215/45 R20 are homologated for it, as well as winter Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance and Goodyear UltraGrip Performance Plus in sizes 215/55 R18 and 215/50 R19.

The tires, homologated for the Volkswagen ID.3, meet the high standards of the renowned automaker thanks to their advanced traction, safety and rolling resistance characteristics, which are ideal for electric vehicles.

“We are very proud that Volkswagen has decided to equip its groundbreaking electric vehicle with Goodyear tires,” said Hans Vrijsen, director of the OE tires segment, Goodyear EMEA. “Goodyear is committed to developing tires for electric vehicles. We are now working with all the major manufacturers of hybrids and electric cars, and half of all our tire developments are in these two types. ”

Previously suppliers of tires for the Volkswagen ID.3 electric vehicle. Bridgestone and Continental have already been selected.
