Chinese tire manufacturer LingLong said it quickly responded to the outbreak of the Wuhan pandemic earlier this year by providing support to hard-hit areas.
In January, LingLong donated 5 million yuan to the Red Cross in Jingmen City, Hubei Province, where the coronavirus outbreak occurred. In addition, the company has mobilized its tire distributors and dealers in Hubei province to provide free transportation services to doctors and to deliver personal protective equipment to a hospital built specifically for COVID-19 patients.
In February, Linglong supported a nationwide awareness campaign on the importance of hand washing and wearing masks. In March, Linglong donated 300,000 disposable surgical masks, 2,000 medical protective clothing and 10,000 COVID-19 antibody testing kits to the Serbian government. When the epicenter of the pandemic moved overseas from China in April, Linglong was actively distributing a large number of protective medical masks to its British, French, Dutch and Italian distributors and partners. Linglong also supported its partners in Africa and Japan. By early April, the company had donated over 90,000 medical masks, including KF94 face masks and disposable surgical masks.
In June 2020, LingLong held review meetings with LingLong Group and Shandong University, resulting in a tripartite agreement to provide training, research, and health care for the COVID-19 pandemic. The company also provided financial support to Shandong University Hospital in Hubei Province.
