Goodyear will pay a heavy fine for safety violations at its tire plant in the US

After the death of four workers at the tire plant Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Danville, Virginia, the company will have to pay $1.75 millions for the violations found in the area of health and safety.

As stated by the Ministry of Labor and state industry, Goodyear and the United Steelworkers union reached a settlement agreement, following which the manufacturer will have to pay a fine and to eliminate the revealed violations.

After the deaths of the workers (in the period from August 2015 to August 2016) the plant was carried out 11 inspections, which found violations of more than one hundred.
