Nexen US headquarters moves to Ohio

Nexen Tire America moves its regional headquarters to a new tech center in Richfield, Ohio.

Previously, the North American headquarters of the Korean tire manufacturer was located in California for 15 years.

Richfield is located 20 miles north of Akron, home to the technical centers of many tire manufacturers - Bridgestone Americas, Goodyear, Kumho Tire U.S.A., Kenda Tire U.S.A., Triangle Tire Group and Hankook Tire America Corp.

Nexen North American Tech Center will bring together the company's corporate and sales staff; in addition, the number of employees of the center will grow - from 20 to 50 people.

Nexen, based in Yangsan, South Korea, is ranked 20th in the list of the world's leading tire manufacturers; for 2020, its sales amounted to $ 1.4 billion. Regional company Nexen Tire America was founded in 2005. Approximately 32% of global Nexen tire sales in 2020 came from North America.

Nexen will continue to operate three of its distribution centers in Ontario, California; Morrow, Georgia; and Lockbourne, Ohio.
