The Japanese tire manufacturer Bridgestone twice — to 147 thousand m2 — has expanded the area of its plant in Tatabanya, Hungary.
Project on expanding the plant started in 2013 and will be completed by 2020. At this point, its production capacity will increase to four times the level of 2013 - to 7.2 million tires per year, while the number of jobs will increase from 800 to 920.
Now the plant produces about 2 million. Tires per year, part of which is supplied to automakers.
