Semperit will present a new winter tire Speed Grip 3

Semperit brand introduced a new winter tires Speed-Grip 3, which will be available closer to the winter season 2017/18 year. New product designed for cars, but the manufacturer is also going to release a version for SUVs - Speed ​​Grip 3 SUV. The tires will be available in 48 popular sizes from 15 to 20 inches, as well as high and narrow size 195/55 R 20, suitable for the assembly of Renault Scénic.

The tire with directional tread pattern offers improved (compared to previous model Speed ​​Grip 2) braking performance on ice, traction and handling on snow-covered road and hydroplaning resistance. Characteristics of traction on a dry track, braking on dry and wet roads, as well as wear resistance and rolling resistance remain unchanged. Price, as the manufacturer says, also remains unchanged.

Feature tread new items - increased amount of coupling edges and lateral sipes, due to which the water disappears faster film formed during braking on ice, and as a result reduces the braking distance bus. Being on the outside of the thin shoulder grooves provide extra grip that enhances traction on snow tires. Externally, as noted, these elements resemble silhouettes of mountains.

The increased number of tread blocks allowed to optimize braking on snowy roads, and special projections on the bottom of the shoulder lateral grooves improve the movement characteristics and the controllability in cornering. The deep grooves of the tread pattern provides rapid removal of water from the contact area and reduce the risk of aquaplaning.

In addition, on each tire Semperit Speed ​​Grip 3 has two indicator informing that the remaining tread depth reached 4 and 1.6 mm (4 mm - the minimum allowable tread depth in Austria, 1.6 - in Germany).
