Hankook Tire Europe company has opened its first European tire test center in Finland.
The center, dubbed Technotrac and build about a year, is part of a "comprehensive approach" to the Hankook tire development and production in Europe. It will complement the company's research center in Germany, and an indoor test range in Hungary.
Technotrac is in Ivalo, 300 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. He was engaged in the construction of the famous Finnish company Test World Oy. "Europe - one of the largest and most important world markets for the Hankook, so we spend a lot of time on product development, created to meet the needs of the region" - said Ho-Yul Bae (Ho-Youl Pae), head of Hankook Tire Europe.
The test site includes three spidveya used for testing the braking, traction and lateral stability on snow and ice. In addition, there are two routes Technotrac intended for tests that have been handling tires in the snow are specifically designed to meet the needs of automakers premium from Germany.
When choosing a place to build a testing ground the company has taken into account the climatic conditions in Ivalo - long winter with stable temperatures that are optimally suited for testing winter tires.
