The US Department of Commerce has reduced compensation customs duties on Indian tires

The US Department of Commerce has adjusted its calculations of countervailing customs duties affecting imported industrial tires from India.

The re-calculation of fees was made after ATC Tire Private filed a petition with the ministry, claiming that its calculations contain errors.

As a result, the Ministry made recalculations, and now the ATC compensation fees have been reduced from 4.9% to 4.72%, and duties for all other Indian importers have been reduced from 5.06% to 4.94%.

Compensatory customs duties applicable to Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT), remained at the same level.
