Mesnac and Rockwell will be engaged in high-tech production for the tire industry

Mar 13, 2017

The Chinese company Mesnac, specializing in the production of equipment for the tire industry, has expanded its agreement with Rockwell Automation to conduct joint research of high-tech production in the tire and rubber industries.

The American company Rockwell is expected to help improve the performance of the equipment and support the increase in the efficiency of Mesnac, as well as cut costs. The partners agreed to conduct a comprehensive study in the field of automation and safety of production, whose goal is "to provide high-quality products and services for tire manufacturers, and to promote high-tech manufacturing processes in the global rubber industry."

According to Mesnac Vice President Yu Mingjin, the company recently applied its new production systems to the Hefei Wanli Tire plant in Hefei, China, which was due to begin operations in late 2016. Hefei Wanli (a joint venture created by the tire company Guangzhou Fengli Tire & Rubber and Chinese automaker China Anhui Jianghuai Automobile) describes the plant as "the world's first tire factory using high-tech automation for all processes - from creating rubber compounds to vulcanizing finished tires."
