The volume of natural rubber production by ANRPC countries will grow by 4%

Mar 15, 2017

According to the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC), production of this raw material in the first two months of 2017 decreased by 2.2% compared to the same period last year.

This decline, as noted, is mainly due to floods in southern Thailand and "unusually early onset of fall foliage in the off-season."

The fall in production was accompanied by an increase in demand for natural rubber, reaching 3.3%.

According to ANRPC forecasts, the total production of natural rubber in 2017 will grow by 4.2%, which is 0.2% higher than earlier forecasts.
