Yokohama Rubber completes the previously announced acquisition of the Japanese company Aichi Tire Industry, which manufactures tires for industrial equipment, including for various loaders. The Aichi Tire product line includes cast and banded tires, and Yokohama expects the deal to strengthen its position in the specialized tire segment.
The company Aichi Tire was established in 1942, it owns two manufacturing facilities in Komaki and Kasugai. Last year, its sales amounted to about 60 million euros.
