Michelin will begin the process of replacing its most popular line of truck tires during the international exhibition CV Show in Birmingham - it is where the debut of the new line of X Multi tires will take place. According to the manufacturer, tests of new generation tires showed an increase in mileage of 15-20% compared to the currently introduced Michelin X MultiWay 3D line.
The novelty is designed to provide the lowest costs per kilometer of travel and at the same time maintain a reliable grip in all weather conditions. The new tires will be available from April of this year in the amount of 315/70 R22.5 (for universal installation and for the driving axle) and 385/55 R22.5 (for steering axle and trailer). Further expansion of the dimensional ruler is scheduled for 2017.
"The new X Multi bus for regional transportation offers a significantly extended service life and underscores Michelin's commitment to providing the lowest total cost of ownership for our customers," said Chrys Smith, director of truck tire marketing in Northern Europe. "The tires for regional cargo transportation account for more than 2/3 of our sales in the British market for commercial vehicles, and we believe that the release of the novelty will cause considerable interest."
In addition to the new line, Michelin will present at its stand a number of truck tires, including the X Line Energy line, expanded in December 2016 and featuring increased fuel economy.
