France beat its own record for collecting old tires

French company Aliapur, which is engaged in the disposal of old tires, reported a record level of fees for 2016: it collected more than 334,597 tons of old tires, which is equivalent to about 44.2 million passenger tires.

Most of all it was collected in June - about 30.7 thousand tons of tires. Aliapur associates this with the fact that before the summer season of holidays the French change tires on their cars and throw out worn tires.

The previous record was set in October 2014, when the French surrendered and recycled 30.2 thousand tons of old tires.

For the first two months of 2017, Aliapur has already collected 59 564 tons of old tires.
