South Korean tire manufacturer Hung-A rebrands in the US

Hung-A Co. Ltd., a South Korean industrial and commercial tire manufacturer, established in the North American market, renamed its regional distribution company Tiron Tires and Wheels USA Inc.

The company, located in the suburbs of Atlanta, used to be called Hung-A USA.

The name change is reportedly helping the tire manufacturer consolidate its Tiron brand in the US OE market.

Hung-A opened its Atlanta office and warehouse in 2016 to expand the supply of tractor tires to American automakers.

Hung-A, located in Gyeongsangam-do, South Korea, was founded in 1951. In 2019, it was ranked 70th in the list of the world's leading tire manufacturers with sales of $147.3 million. The company manufactures and supplies tires for tractors, loaders and construction equipment to the markets of South Korea, Japan and the USA. Tires are produced in factories in South Korea and Indonesia. Besides the Tiron brand, Hung-A also uses the Hung-A and Tinga brands.
