Giti Tire has received two certifications

The Giti Tire Manufacturing (USA) plant in Richburg, South Carolina, USA, received two certifications - ISO 9001 and ATF 16949-2016.

“It is difficult to overestimate the amount of work that has gone into achieving these two certifications,” said Carol Wilbert, Senior Quality Assessment Manager at the Giti Tire plant in Richburg. “The certifications we have received demonstrate that our quality standards are among the best in the world.”

The plant, which began production in late 2017, produces tires under the Giti and GT Radial brands for the replacement and OE market.

ISO 9001 is an international standard that defines the requirements for quality management systems (QMS). Organizations use this standard to demonstrate their ability to consistently deliver products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is considered the most popular standard in the ISO 9000 series.

IATF 16949-2016 is an international industry standard that describes the requirements for quality management systems for enterprises dealing with products for the automotive industry.
