The Essen Motor Show 2020, which was scheduled to take place from November 28 to December 6, will not be able to open its doors to visitors due to the worsening situation with the incidence of the coronavirus Covid-19.
Despite the fact that this year the organizers planned to hold the exhibition in a limited format and in compliance with all possible security measures, the authorities of Essen officially decided that the event would not take place. The city, like many other cities in Germany, is seeing an increase in the number of new cases of Covid-19.
“We are sorry, but this year the Essen Motor Show will not take place. This is a big disappointment, especially for our members, but we understand the decision of the city authorities. The epidemiological situation in Essen is now significantly worse than last month, so we understand that in the current situation, safety and caution are the determining factors in decision making, ”said Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Messe Essen.
Thus, the next exhibition will take place in 2021, from November 27 to December 5.
