Goodyear and Maxxis win Ford Motor Awards

Ford Motor Company recently presented its Vendor of the Year awards, the Ford World Excellence Awards. Tire manufacturers Cheng Shin Rubber (Maxxis International) and Goodyear were among the recipients of this honorary award.

Taiwan's Cheng Shin Rubber was named Sustainable Supplier of the Year Winner, and Goodyear received a Special Award for Supply Chain Achievement. The awards were presented at the 22nd Annual Ford World Excellence Awards, which took place online on November 17.

The Ford World Excellence Awards are presented in several categories and recognize suppliers who exceed expectations and achieve the highest levels of quality, efficiency and productivity, and offer high quality, fast delivery and related services.

“Minimizing our environmental impact is Maxxis's top priority and we are working hard to ensure that all Maxxis tires are manufactured in a sustainable manner,” commented Andy Lee, Vice President of Maxxis North America. "We appreciate Ford's support for making significant improvements."

This is the second Maxxis award in 2020 for the quality of OE tire supply. Maxxis has previously received an award from Subaru of Indiana Automotive.
