Tire manufacturer Giti Tire has joined the United Nations Global Compact as a Signatory as part of its sustainability commitment.

The UN Global Compact is an initiative aimed at promoting corporate social responsibility and reporting on the implementation of such policies. The UN Global Compact declares ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor relations, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

In addition, Giti recently joined GPSNR (Global Platform for the Promotion of the Sustainable Use of Natural Rubber). According to the tire manufacturer, this characterizes it as a socially responsible company. That being said, Giti has been very active for decades in supporting various environmental and corporate social responsibility initiatives, especially in the areas of ecology, education and sustainable production. The new commitment is part of the tire manufacturer's agenda to take sustainability to the next level.
