Michelin Lexington plant celebrates tire production anniversary

Michelin celebrates the anniversary of its tire plant in Lexington, South Carolina, USA, where the first tire was manufactured on October 29, 1981.
In the 40 years since production began, Michelin's Lexington plant has produced more than 240 million tires.
The plant currently has nearly 1,500 employees, including those who have worked there since the beginning.
The company's consumer-grade tires are designed for both the OE and replacement markets.
