Bridgestone gets TTI award for innovation in production with its Examation system

Tire assembly system Examation, combining a high degree of automation and artificial intelligence brought Bridgestone tire manufacturer convincing victory in the competition TTI Awards-2017: The company received the award for innovation in the field of production - "Tire Manufacturing Innovation of the Year" - at a ceremony held last week in Hanover.

First now the Bridgestone, which became applicable Examation system, became a Japanese plant to produce passenger car tires in Hikone.

For Examation apply more advanced version of the information and communication technologies than those used for the production system BIRD (Bridgestone Innovative and Rational Development). Also Examation uses new patented technology based on Bridgestone Intelligent Office concept development (BIO) and Bridgestone Intelligent Device (BID). BIO and BID are new technologies that include data analysis based on the experience of Bridgestone in processing high-polymer rubber materials; they also use algorithms that are based on the analysis of large amounts of data, obtained during the production processes and know-how of Bridgestone specialists in manufacturing processes.

Later Examation system will be used on the company's factories in Hungary and Russia.
