Conti and Trelleborg raise the prices for tires sold in the US market

The North American division of Continental Tire the Americas and Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas joined to many producers already had time to announce a price increase for tires.

Conti announces price increases on its passenger and light truck tire brand Continental and General. The changes amount to 7%, inclusive, and will come into force on May 1 this year.

On March 1, Conti has raised to 8% of the price of the tire brands Continental, General and Ameristeel, sold in the US market and Canada.

Trelleborg, in turn, will raise the price of brand tires designed for Agriculture and Forestry, presented on the North American market. Increase will take effect on April 1 and will reach 8%.

Both companies attributed this step marked increase in commodity prices.

Since January 2017 the decision to raise the price of its tires in the region have already reported Alliance Tire America, Giti Tire (USA), Maxam Tire North America, Pirelli Tire North America and Titan International Inc, as well as a number of other companies.
