Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires

Lamborghini was able to break the record of passing the circle on the track Nürburgring Nordschleife: the coupe Huracan Performante with specially designed tires Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R managed to pass the circle in 6 minutes 52.1 seconds, which is a record for the production cars.

The new Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, sizes 245/30ZR20 and 305/30ZR20, which were specially developed by Pirelli's engineers to try to set a new record, were installed on a new car not yet presented to the general public. The team of specialists managed to develop tires in just three months due to the use of the most advanced modeling technologies and telemetric equipment.

Together with Lamborghini's research and development specialists, Pirelli engineers were present on the track during the record setting. The P Zero Trofeo R tires were designed to fully meet the requirements of extremely powerful cars, especially on the race track, and provide the necessary safety, powerful grip and quick steering response.

When creating tires P Zero Trofeo R used special compounds, developed on the basis of those used for racing tires; The tires also received an updated tread pattern. This allowed to achieve extraordinary results - improving controllability and contact with the road surface, as well as reducing wear.

The premiere of the new Lamborghini Huracan Performante coupe will take place at the international motor show in Geneva; On the exposed model will be installed custom-made road tires P Zero Corsa.
