Toyo introduced new Proxes Sport tire

Toyo Tires introduced a new sports tire with outstanding handling characteristics - Proxes Sport.

Drivers of powerful sports cars need tires that can provide high-speed handling of the car and reliable grip on the wet road. Toyo specialists developed a new model that meets these requirements, but at the same time maintained a balance between efficiency on the one hand, and comfort and fitness on the other.

The tires Proxes Sport uses a new compound of rubber compound, created with the help of advanced technology Nano Balance. This technology allows engineers to analyze the molecular structure and interaction of rubber compound elements at the nano level in order to mix components with high precision and to obtain a material with higher performance. So, thanks to the Nano Balance, the Proxes Sport tires show excellent traction on dry and wet surfaces, reduced rolling resistance and slow wear.

With regard to the design of the tire, it contributes to the tire's stability and high speed properties: the tire has a strong viscose frame with a high turning edge, a double steel belt layer, a harder rubber sidewall layer and a heavy-duty bead ring.

The Proxes Sport tread pattern has the following features. The edges of the tread blocks are rounded-so the pressure in the contact patch is distributed evenly, hence, the grip improves and the wear is slowed down. Also, Toyo engineers used new type of grooves. They expand in the form of a wedge closer to the tire surface, which improves traction, exchange rate stability and pressure distribution in the contact spot.

The use of modern technology in the development of rubber compounds, frame construction, as well as an improved tread pattern Proxes Sport tires provide an accurate and predictable response to steering, which allows you to enjoy driving at 100%.

In 2017, the novelty is available in 5 sizes (17 and 19 inches), in the next season the size range will expand significantly and include more than 40 options.
