The American division of Continental announced that it will invest about $10 million in the creation of a new tire testing center based on the existing test site in Uvald, Texas.
"The new center will support our desire to be the best supplier of primary tires and increase the speed of developing new tire technologies for the US market," commented Dr. Boris Mergell, head of Continental Research and Development for passenger and light truck tires .
The new center is designed to test indoors all types of tires produced at Continental plants in the Americas. He will be fully ready for work in April 2019.
