Bridgestone Turanza Eco tires homologated for VW Golf

The Bridgestone Turanza Eco tires, created with the latest Enliten technology, have been homologated for the eighth generation VW Golf.

Bridgestone Turanza Eco tires will be available for the 2020 Volkswagen Golf in the size 205/55 R16 91H.

Enliten technology delivers record low rolling resistance and material savings in tire manufacturing. It was first used by Bridgestone for the Turanza Eco tires developed for the first production electric vehicle Volkswagen ID.3.

The innovative Enliten technology, as noted by the Japanese manufacturer, provides a 30% reduction in tire rolling resistance compared to standard summer models. This reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In addition, tires created with Enliten technology provide even greater fuel economy thanks to their light weight, which is 20% lower than comparable premium summer tires.

OE tires from other manufacturers are also available for various versions of the VW Golf 8 - Nexen N'blue S and Nexen Winguard Sport 2, Vredestein Sportrac 5 and Vredestein Wintrac Pro.
