Continental has expanded its range of passenger all-season tires.
Continental has announced the expansion of the Continental AllSeasonContact light all-season tire range in 41 new sizes. Now tires, which recently received the "Exemplary" rating in the Auto Bild test, are available in 119 sizes with tread widths 175-255 mm and rim diameters from 14 to 20 inches.
The tires are suitable for a wide variety of cars from compact cars to large luxury cars, and not so long ago, the model entered the OE segment - the tires were approved by Volkswagen as an option for the ID.3 electric car. In some sizes, tires are available with ContiSeal technology, which reduces noise levels due to an additional layer in the structure.
All-season tires continue to gain traction in Europe, according to Continental, with sales in Germany up 13% last year compared to 2018, and now one in five German drivers have abandoned seasonal tire changes. Even Continental, which had previously insisted on the need to use winter and summer tires, could not ignore this pronounced trend.
Continental AllSeasonContact is characterized by the manufacturer as a premium tire capable of providing optimal safety on cold, wet and snowy roads, while also having low rolling resistance, which affects fuel consumption. The tires are marked 3PMSF, which means they are legal to use in winter in countries where the use of tires is regulated by the season.
