Nissan recalls over 2,000 Altima S vehicles over possible tire problem

Nissan North America is recalling 2,214 Nissan Altima S 2020 models due to a potential safety issue with Continental ProContact TX OE tires.

We are talking about the potential for re-vulcanization of tires produced at the American plant Continental Tire the Americas in Mount Vernon, Illinois. All potentially hazardous tires were produced during the week of August this year and carry production code DOT 3320 and mold ID S-419149.

Earlier in November, Conti announced a massive recall that covers about 12,000 tires under 20 different brands and names.

According to Continental, potentially defective 215/60 R16 H tires may have a carcass break in the sidewall area or breaker breaks.
