Apollo president will head ATMA Indian tire association

The Association of Tire Manufacturers of India (ATMA) reports that the president of Apollo Tires Satish Sharma, responsible for Apollo business in the markets of the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Africa, will become the next chairman of this industry organization.

Prior to receiving the appointment as president of Apollo Tires in 2014, Satish Sharma worked for the company for many years and until recently served as the chief marketing director and head of the Indian business of the company. He is also a member of the board of directors of Apollo.

ATMA association, formed in 1975, is one of the most active industrial organizations in the country and represents the interests of the tire industry in India. The association includes 11 major tire companies, which account for 90% of all tires produced in the country, including Apollo Tires, Birla Tires, Bridgestone India, Ceat, Continental India, Goodyear India, JK Tire & Industries, Michelin, MRF, TVS Tires and Yokohama.
