The Spanish organization for the protection of consumer rights (La OrganizaciĆ³n de Consumidores y Usuarios, OCU) conducted a survey among the country's car owners, according to which it ranked the best tire brands. Survey participants were asked to rate tire performance, handling, grip and braking distances, as well as ride comfort and noise levels. As a result, according to OCU, Spanish motorists named the best summer tires of the Dunlop and Continental brands, as well as Goodyear, Vredestein and Bridgestone. The worst summer tires, according to the Spaniards, come under the brands Kleber, Nakang and GT Radial.
As for winter tires, according to OCU, just over 3% of motorists in Spain use them, and almost 97% use summer tires all year round. Continental and Dunlop are the most popular winter tires, followed by Michelin in third place.
The most trusted tire brands were selected in another OCU pan-European poll of nearly 44,000 Belgian, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese drivers. Michelin tires were recognized as the most durable - their mileage reaches 46,284 km. They are followed by Toyo tires (43,466 km) and Bridgestone (43,421 km). The least wear-resistant European drivers found the tires Nokian (35 651 km), Fulda (35 523 km) and Nankang (32 214 km).
